Wow, I don’t know why I am slow to find this one, but this is huge for me.

I vehemently detest junk mail. I hate seeing it, smelling it, and pulling it out of my mailbox. I hate the physical act of spending brain cycles triaging mail desperately trying to separate the signal from noise.

I almost want to boycott buying online from companies that I purchase ONE thing from 5 years ago who send me a catalog badgering me to buy something again. Leave me alone. I will come to you when I need something.

TreeHugger.com pointed me to Catalog Choice which I thought was great, and when I got really excited and posted about it to ID, within five minutes someone sent back this: GreenDimes.org. It’s only a mere $15, and they do all the legwork for you. AND, they plant 10 trees on your behalf. What could be better?

If you saw me right now, I have a huge smile on my face, anticipating no longer having junk mail to deal with. It’s funny that little ways to simplify my life like this make me so excited.
